A year after COVID ravaged New York, Ikeem "Teeth" Jones reflects on his legacy as the city’s best subway dancer.

Teeth was a labor of love. We started the project just as the pandemic hit NYC. I discovered Teeth through his Instagram and quickly arranged a series of interviews. But finding a story that could be told in just two minutes proved to be a massive challenge. We spent months combing through transcripts and listening to hours of interviews before finally uncovering the story we wanted to tell.

Once we found it, we hit the ground running. With my DP, Gabe, we developed a visual language that aimed to capture Teeth’s story in the most honest way possible.
